You’ve already walked it
Your walks are already recorded somewhere. Choose your export and see which of the UK’s named walking routes you’ve walked, and how much of each. No sign-in.
Get your walks
- Strava: on Strava’s download page, choose Request your archive. Strava emails a link to a zip, often within minutes. (On a phone, paste the link into your browser: the Strava app can’t do this.)
- Apple Health: in the Health app, tap your picture, then Export All Health Data, and save the zip to Files.
- Garmin: in your Garmin account, under Data Management, choose Export Your Data. Garmin emails a link to a zip.
- Anything else (OS Maps, Komoot, AllTrails, a GPS unit): export your walks as GPX files and choose as many as you like at once.
Your files stay on your device. Your browser reads them, keeps the outings on foot in the UK, and sends us only their lines, thinned to a point every 20 metres or so, to match against The Directory. We don’t keep them, and don’t know whose they are.
